Carney Hospital in Dorchester hosted a Legislative Breakfast on February 6, 2009 - a chance for the CEO of Caritas Christi to engage the local leaders. In this image, Jack Shaughnessy, the great Boston philanthropist and current Chairman of the Board at Carney, greets State Representative Linda Dorcena Forry.
Mr. Shaughnessy, along with his wife Mary, is a mainstay in the development efforts of many of Boston's Catholic institutions. I have photographed him at various events each year for Carney, St. Mary's Women and Children's Center, St. Elizabeth's and BC High.
