We spent the weekend in East Burke, VT at the wedding of Sarah and Chris Rose. The ceremony took place on a hill in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Never heard of the Northeast Kingdom before, but like the old-english-sounding description. I think most weddings are a great opportunity for the couples in attendance to take a step back and remember the important things in their life, family and marriage. This wedding, due to the people and the setting, did that more than any that I can recall. From a photographer's perspective, it was very good. With rain threatening to move the ceremony inside throughout the day, the sky became very dark just before the service, but mostly in the direction we were facing. The light was still perfect on the faces - very lucky. It literally began to pour minutes after we all made it into the barn for the reception.
